These are pictures of my latest box of wetshaving goods to come in. The Shaving Shack sends me a box in thanks for the Q&A article I write a for them. So this time they sent a note asking what I would like and when it shipped my contact said they had included a surprise for me. The surprise ended up being a Kent BK4 shaving brush!! The BK4 gets good reviews and I had been looking at purchasing it for some time. Was so pleased to find they had included it in the box! I’ve used it once so far, and it seems an excellent brush. It will take a little getting used to as it’s a bit floppier than what I’m used to, but it still builds a very fine lather.
The rest of the items are a couple packs of blades (ASCO and Lord Platinums), a tub of Italian Proraso soap, a Tabac soap stick (a favorite! used it this morning), and the Taylor of Old Bond Street herbal pre-shave gel. Mostly this box was favorite items replacing ones I had previously and had run out of. The exception being the pre-shave gel, don’t know much about it at all, haven’t really read many reviews or comments and so thought to give it a shot. Maybe I’ll post a review on Badger and Blade when it’s been put through some tests.
